This is my 18th year in the ICT sector and it all happened by chance, as I studied in a very different direction. I have no regrets taking that leap and was fortunate to hold many different roles.
I started right at the bottom and gradually worked my way up – with many great women by my side.
It has been a great experience and it took a lot of commitment to adapt in an industry that continues to evolve daily. I am taking gutsy move towards my passion – I care deeply about the uplifting of women, and what I have experienced is, that the way in which we think and speak of ourselves and other women, has everything to do with how the world sees us – and how we see ourselves successfully acknowledged by the world.
We are professionals, but also dynamic women in this world, fulfilling multiple roles as businesswomen, wives, mothers, sisters, friends, aunts and many more. We should support, connect, mentor and leverage each other’s strengths.
Today, the world is a vastly different place. But if we make a small effort if can be a guiding principle for how we build businesses in the future. This mindset will help us create platforms and relationships that can change our country for the better, and making life better for everyone, everywhere.
Industries continues to evolve and the only thing that is constant is change. Technology is always transforming with topics like, Security, Virtual Reality, IOT, Robotics and 3D Printing, to name a few. With these changes and the fast pace in business, skills and development is a constant requirement and it could be daunting for women that has traditionally not pursued a professional career to just jump in and be successful.
Let’s continue to build each other, celebrate each other…personally and professionally! Uplift every single woman and inspire every little girl you know. We will continue to change every single life we touch.
